TL FMS User Manual

Draft — 2026

Welcome to TL FMS

The Factory Management System (FMS) is an internal operations platform for footwear manufacturing. It centralises project tracking, development and engineering schedules, lab test records, engineering reviews, and team profiles in one place.

What is this login screen?

This screen grants access to TL FMS. Only authorised factory staff with an active account can sign in. The system is not open to the public — access is controlled by your System Administrator.

How do I get an account?

All accounts are created by a System Administrator. If you need access, contact your Admin and request a user account. They will set up your profile, assign your role, and provide your initial login credentials.

Forgot your password?

If you have forgotten your password, contact your Admin — they can reset it to the system default from the Profiles tab.

Two-Factor Authentication (Admin / Power User)

Admin and Power User accounts require a second sign-in step using an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password, etc.) — no SMS or email codes. The first time you sign in, you set it up once; after that, signing in asks for the 6-digit code from your app. This works on both the desktop and mobile versions, each with its own screen. On a phone, tap "Add to authenticator app" to send the setup straight to the app on that device — you cannot scan a QR code with the same phone that is displaying it — or copy the setup key and paste it in. The QR code is still there if you are setting up from a second device. Lost your phone? Contact an Admin — they can turn MFA off for your account from the Profiles tab so you can sign in and set it up again. Plain User accounts do not need this.

Remember this device for 7 days

When you enter your 6-digit code you can tick "Remember this device for 7 days". That device then stops asking for the code each time you sign in — you still enter your password every time, only the second step is skipped. The 7 days run from when you ticked it and do not extend with use, so you will be asked for a code again a week later. Leave it unticked on any shared or public computer. Trust applies only to the account that ticked it, so another person signing in on the same device is still asked for their own code. If an Admin turns MFA off for your account, every remembered device for that account is cancelled immediately.
